About the Project
Primary Healthcare Darlington had never had professional photography of their team, patients, or premises, every image on their website and marketing had been taken on mobile or stock images. They needed a complete visual refresh that felt authentic, put patients and staff at ease, and could work across web, social, and print.
Over two shoot days we captured reception, clinical, and back-office teams at work, formal leadership portraits for the website, and branded exterior shots. Helping them build a full photography library the practice could draw on for years, not just a one-off shoot.
What We Delivered
How We Did It
Healthcare photography is a different discipline to a standard corporate shoot. Patients and staff are not used to being photographed, clinical moments cannot be staged or repeated, and the priority is always making people feel comfortable enough that the camera disappears.
Day one focused on reception and clinical areas, staff answering phones, greeting patients, and a practitioner carrying out a patient assessment, alongside HR and accounts teams at work and in a team meeting. We closed the day with formal board member portraits, using a three light studio setup on a white background to replace outdated mobile photos on the website.
Day two moved to the pharmacy and remaining teams, capturing general work and team photos around the building, followed by a further 15 staff portraits using the same studio setup. We finished with exterior shots by drone and handheld, plus branding coverage of signage, vehicles, and printed materials.
The result was a complete, cohesive photo library showing the real people behind the business, friendly, engaged, and professional, ready for use across the website, social channels, and printed materials.
