A Stockton Tradition Since the 1300s
Most Saturday mornings start the same for me. A few last-minute video tweaks from Friday’s edits, then straight into town for a wander around Stockton Market. Whether it’s grabbing curry for lunch, picking up sweets for the kids, or just sitting by the fountain soaking in the atmosphere, it’s a tradition we’ve kept for years.
But Stockton Market is much more than a routine stop. It’s one of the largest outdoor markets in the UK, proudly known as the “Queen of the North.” Running since the 1300s, it has been at the heart of Stockton-on-Tees for centuries and remains one of the town’s busiest and most loved attractions.
With over 30 stalls stretching along the High Street, it’s a proper North East market experience, lively, friendly, and full of character.
