Retro No 9 Cafe – Stockton’s Vintage Hidden Gem
I’m always on the lookout for good value food. Stockton definitely isn’t short of cheap cafés if you know where to look. One place I only discovered recently is Retro No.9.
Tucked right at the entrance to the Stockton flea market with a cobbled street and old barn-style doors. You could easily walk past if you’re not paying attention. But step inside and it’s a completely different world. Friendly staff greet you in one of the most genuinely retro café spaces I’ve come across. It’s not forced or themed. It just feels natural. Like the place grew into what it is over time.
Great value food and treats
Hearty homemade meals that fill you up without breaking the bank. Cheap as chips breakfasts that hit the spot every time.
Vintage shop right inside the cafe
Records, lamps, old tech, quirky bits and pieces. You can have a mooch around while your food is being prepared.
Afterwards
Wander through the flea market next door. Pick up something you didn’t even know you wanted.
